The submission titled, ‘foam dome: low-tech pre-fabricated structural building system’ was given an honorable mention in the 2007 Lifecycle Building Challenge, sponsored by the US EPA. This flexible dome-shaped system uses laser-cut recycled cardboard, high-density polystyrene foam, and a waterproof fabric membrane which can be separated, re adapted, and recycled as needed. Design team members included Siobhan Rockcastle, Cayley Lambur, Dana Cupkova, and Kevin Pratt.
