Close Hauled is the result of a symposium and ongoing collaboration between educators and practitioners with experience teaching evidence-based architectural design using environmental performance analysis methods. The symposium, held at MIT on September 14-15, 2023, brought together more than 15 participants over two days and set the foundation for a series of conceptual and design exercise to support architectural design education on topics of site & climate, lighting, comfort, IAQ, energy, and mechanical systems. The handbook will be published on-line and in print this coming Spring.
