This studio proposed a 35,000 SF Hub for Dramatic Arts in Portland, Oregon. This project will provide space for the instruction of dance, theater, and music and create an inclusive environment where students, instructors, and performers can build community. A youth outreach program will support children to practice confidence and learn resilience. The program will house a white box and a black box theatre, studios, classrooms, administrative offices, and street-level retail. Students in this studio are in the 4th and final introductory studio (out of 10 studios total) in our curriculum and are learning to tackle a complex mix of program in an urban site condition while sharpening their graphic communication skills.
