In November of 2018, Governor Kate Brown announced a new Initiative with the injection of a multi-million dollar funding package into research and implementation strategies to combat climate change. This studio offers a fictional appropriation of funds from that initiative to propose a new 30,000 SF Oregon Museum of Climate Science (OMOCS), jointly funded by the University of Oregon and Oregon State Universities. Unlike a traditional museum that offers rotating exhibits designed to educate users through representative dioramas, OMOCS will offer visitors a chance to experience climate change in Oregon’s most vulnerable ecosystems
